As I sat in a Denny's, ready to order scrambled eggs for lunch, I reflected on how 24 hour breakfast cafes serve as a basis for more religious evangelism than almost any other type of business. A cold snap today brought a welcome chill and a welcome rain. We watched on television as the St. Louis Cardinals heroically bested the local Texas Rangers in game 6 of the World Series. I bought a DVD from Big Lots of "The Year of Living Dangerously", one of my favorite films. I'm puzzling over this and that. I'm seeing Saturday in my front-view mirror, hiding behind the sunrise and sunset that I'll call Friday.
