Secret Agent

Our little firm lunched at a nearby Mexican restaurant, Rancho la Sandia. My dish was an excellent pollo rostizado. We lunched to celebrate several August birthdays.

The news is full of news--the fall of the Libyan regime, an earthquake in the eastern U.S. and the continued crisis in Syria.

I rise early tomorrow for a day trip. The temperature today was once more over 100 degrees--it is the second hottest Summer on record.

At the Borders closing sale, I bought a little pocket book about Texas cactus species. It's a wonderful book--I can sit and look at the pictures of little cacti for goodish intervals at a time.
