absence of primrose

A longish week, half-completed. The weather during the day was a crisp 50 degrees. After a lunch at Boston Market, I stopped at the little park by Duck Creek near my work. I went looking for the showy evening primrose wildflower. Last March, a banner wildflower year, they were there in profusion. This year, a lesser year, they have not made an appearance yet. I have seen some along the freeway, but that's not quite the same.

I'm reading up on Possum Kingdom Lake and Texas prairie dogs. I am down to one game of on-line chess and one game of Wordfeud. In April more flowers will come.
