carom

Our home in the snow

This morning we got 5 or 6 inches of soft, lovely snow. I drove to work at 20 m.p.h. I did great, except for that speed bump I hit on Glenbrook in Garland. But there's a silver lining--I don't get to use "carom" very often in a sentence.

I worked until late afternoon, and then drove home. The drive was easy but it was work. It required a lot of concentration. When I reached Oak Point Park in Plano, I treated myself to a walk in the snow.

The local press is abuzz by the effect of the Winter storm upon the Super Bowl on Sunday. I am abuzz with the pleasant thought that the snow stays until tomorrow afternoon--and I am free on Saturday.
