This year I planted nasturtium seeds. A half a dozen plants sprouted, but all looked under siege. One produced a single nice bloom. Another produced a decent bloom. One has a bloom now that looks parched.
We also planted a milkweed, which came on at first like enriched milk, but now is dying off like a fading milquetoast.
But this little succulent plant has been a great addition. It's even begun to shoot off runners, and it looks happy as a clam:
