Oak Point Park

Location: Oak Point Park, Plano, Texas.

While I looked at a thistle in the late part of its bloom, a tiger swallowtail butterfly landed on the thistle:

Later, another tiger swallowtail sought nectar from a flower:

The local sunflower [tickseed], coreopsis, was in bloom:


The lake was gorgeous in the hot afternoon sun:

Wooded trails provided shade and relief. I saw a lovely blue jay on the shore by the creek, who saw me back.
