The promised snow did not arrive. The anticipated letter did not come. The spare moment to mail the package failed to materialize. The extra hour of sleep spent itself in wakefulness. The expected package failed to arrive as expected. The list of things to do lengthened. The cup nonetheless seems much more than half-full, and perhaps remains overflowing.
