Spring, fallen

Botanical Garden Flower

Today I walked by the side of the Tom Thumb supermarket. Each Spring, the side of the building features house sparrows nesting in the TOM THUMB letters. I watched with interest as a sparrow peered out from the letter "O",
with nesting material in view around her/him. Beneath those same letters, on the ground, a deceased opposum lay.
Someone thoughtfully placed him on a bit of brown cardboard. The contrast between life and its passing lay in the juxtaposition of images.
