Three Bea Anee'

Paper Rose, originally uploaded by gurdonark.

On January 8, 2006, my wife and I went to the McKinney SPCA, where we found our friend Beatrice. Beatrice is a short-haired small grown dog who looks like a labrador puppy. We later learned that she is a puggle, a cross between a pug and a beagle.

When we got her, she was a little light--16 pounds instead of the low 20s she attained under our care. She knew two words--"fetch" and "ball", which perhaps sum up Bea's favorite two things to this day.

We've always wondered about Bea, a loving dog that someone trained a bit. Was she lost? Was she abandoned? Did she stray to have a litter of puppies?

We'll never know. We only know we love her. We know she is part of our family. We don't know how old Bea is. Our life with Bea is three.
