10 Thursday evening statements, with resource links.

1. Take life less seriously.
2. Adopt pets from shelters. They will love you for it, and you will love you for it, too.
3. The very best music is truly free.
4. People do a lot better with pulling themselves up by their bootstraps if you loan them the money to buy a boot.
5. You don't have to have money for plane fare to enjoy new places.
6. No need to steal an icon when so many are free in the public domain.
7. Sometimes a free classical concert is just the thing to "hit the spot".
8. If you believe, as I do, that school inequality is the new Jim Crow system, you can do something about it directly.
9. If you're starved for intellectual content, then perhaps a free podcast of short stories would help. My writer friends might even submit.
10. Seek your wonder in the stars--for in the vastness of the galaxies,
so many lesser things seem beside the point.
