If I were a welder, I'd be the kind of welder who makes sparks rise when I apply the torch to a fleeting metal.
I've never welded. My "skilled" trades experience stops at painting doors at an industrial plant and and hoisting kegs of powder for a gunpowder grinding mill.
But if I were a welder, I'd make the sparks fly, and watch the embers slowly burn out. Then I'd make things fuse, and meld,and heal.
