note to self

When attending an out of town business meeting under circumstances which involve rising at 4 a.m. the two mornings just prior to the meeting, seek an inner serenity that allows one to feel a sense of "right work" when the meeting unexpectedly lasts until 10:30 p.m., somewhat after one's 7:15 p.m. flight.

In other news, the Casa Linda bakery still makes the best "consolation for a dawn flight after an incredibly late night" gingerbread man known to humankind. I would name that gingerbread man Sputnik, because it was a truly revolutionary fellow traveler into the heavens.
