take as read....but.....poll

Take as read that....
it's a silly show
it's far too mainstream
it's hide-bound in so many ways
a goodish number of you aren't even American....
and most folks, myself included, really don't sing stunningly well,
and certainly don't sing glorified karaoke very well...

Given all the absurdities and revulsions, all the avoidances and reasons why not...
