hot and dry

Although they did not produce any rain, clouds rolled in last night and broke the heat. August heat here is part of the grand design, but it is certainly a good thing when a leavening front comes in and breaks its hammer-grip. Over the past few years, since 2000 or so, we've been blessed with mild Summers, but this Summer appears to even the abacus up a bit.

Cyclical weather intrigues and delights me, but I tend to enjoy the "rainy" portion of the cycle more than the "drought" portion. On the other hand, the drought this year provided some glorious Summer-like January days, which is not all a bad thing.

I look forward to getting work done this week.
