simple bea-ted-tudes

One of the things I like best about coming home is to release our dogs from the kennel. They like it, too.

Beatrice will sit on command, especially if a ball might soon be thrown for her to fetch.

Ted will even brave the sun on our little postage-stamp patio if that's where we're spending time together.

Under our bird feeder, stray sunflower seeds have germinated, sprouted, and, in one case thus far, bloomed. The last of the daylillies are finishing their run, while the butterfly bush is slightly less floral.

We like being home, although I enjoy cool woodlands in Manitoba.
