from home to conference room to home

I left at 4 a.m. yesterday and returned home at 1 a.m. today. During the flight home I read "Wired Magazine" and watched a half hour short Sherlock Holmes film as well as most of "His Girl Friday". I found our dogs had been relocated from their normal places sleeping on our bed and instead installed in their own sleeping spaces, to wit, a dog-fleece and a sofa-chair, as apparently our new friend shares her fur with us in a friendly, labrador-like way, rather than hoarding it all unshed, in the cold-tolerating lhasa way. Today I must work very hard, renew a passport to faciliate an upcoming business trip, and work on many interesting projects which will consume my time. Lots of cases to work upon is the kind of problem one wishes to have, but I'll need to work hard over the next week. I notice that CVS now has a digital DVD throwaway camera for 30 dollars, or so some magazine among the ones I read yesterday tells me. I like the idea of shooting a documentary film on a throwaway camera, adding a soundtrack to it, and then finding some contest congenial to such things. This is not an original idea--someone is running a cell phone video contest now--but it appeals to me. To make it work, I'll have to figure out how to use the Windows Movie Maker program, whose workings are thus far to me a mystery, as it appears one can easily paste and move things, but it's hard for me to see how one gets it to play what one has cut, pasted and remixed.
