on not storming the fortified hill

Hard work is good for me. I spent my time on the dawn plane yesterday listening to ambient music. I also read Michael Shaara's "Killer Angels", a novelization of the Gettysburg insanity. The odd mix of war, spirituality and absurdity intrigues and intoxicates, but part of me merely made the mental note "pick your battles, pick your battlefields".

My heart goes out to people I see on television. This is the less irritating flip side of an electronic village media. Imagine if the Army of Virginia and the Army of the Potomac had devoted their attentions to peaceful relief pursuits.
