The DART rail has a stop south of downtown Dallas called Dallas Zoo. We exited at this stop, and went into the zoo. My niece enjoyed the carousel and the pony rides the most. I enjoyed the monorail ride the most. My brother-in-law did not express which was his favorite thing. We all enjoyed the cotton candy. None of us got the corn dogs. The tropical birds were quite colorful. The native lizard stood crouched on the rock outcropping.
We returned home by train. I found in the mail a rejection slip for some poetry I submitted, a form with the barest hand-written note. My wife and my sister-in-law returned with our dog Teddy, after they had taken a walk around the entire neighborhood.
I fell asleep, and missed the chance to go to the natotorium with my wife and my niece. We are ordering Campisi's pizza tonight, and having friends and more relatives join us. My song "Robot Breakfast" is inexplicably climbing the "soundclick: noise" charts again, having resumed its place at number 4. It's gratifying that it still gets listeners even after I stopped promoting it.
The pear trees in our town are all in white floral bloom. The temperature is eighty degrees. I am ready for cheese pizza.
