the beginnings of a project

I find myself wandering through listings for home-made musical instruments, and browsing through the curious creations at I joined a new community which deals with use of flawed recording technique as an aspect of music. This is the way any project begins for me, and I usually follow through on a project if I can conceptualize a way to do it within my limited skill set.

I played chess with my nephew's new chess circle last night. We had a lot of fun, although my nephew won the third of our three games with a bit of nice endgame technique. I am certainly the weakest endgame player rated over 1500 in America.

Tomorrow I want to tie loose ends as if they were shoelaces. I am toying with short story ideas, and fun places to drive at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. It's going to be a good weekend, I think.
