bus ride south

Wednesday I woke at 4 a.m. I caught my 6 a.m. bus. It arrived at 9:15 in Austin. I walked to the law library, after first finding the public library closed for renovations. I went to my afternoon matter in the mid-afternoon. I walked back to the hotel from which the bus leaves. I got some more work done and caught my bus.  The World Series was on the bus television. I watched 7 innings, but then my bus arrived back in Dallas. i got home late a night. I got more than 16,000 steps due to all the walking in Austin.  I like that downtown Austin is reasonably walk-able. I also like the Vonlane express bus service, which is much more comfortable than air travel and less hassle than driving myself. On the other hand, if I had felt like driving, I could have walked in Mother Neff State Park on the way home.

Thursday I had a very busy workday. I walked a bit in Timbers Nature Preserve at lunch and a bit in Bob Woodruff Park after dinner. Now I am watching the Orville on television, as I rest a bit.

Today we had warm weather. Tomorrow the forecast is more chilly.

Wednesday: a breakfast bar, a turkey sandwich, baked chips, tortilla soup
Thursday: kix cereal, skim milk, roast beef sandwich, baked chips, 2 pieces chicken, sweet potato, squash
