rabbits and mouse

This morning I got up early. A pleasing and cooling morning rain fell. I assembled a bed in our guest room, which previously stood disassembled in the aftermath of the water leak. At 10:30 a.m., I went to Living Life United Methodist Church, which meets in an elementary school in McKinney. The sermon dealt with my favorite Bible passage, the good Samaritan parable in the Gospel of Luke. The pastor said, not for the first time, that we should have lunch sometime.

In the mid-afternoon, I went to Weight Watchers, where I was up 1.2 pounds. Then I got a sandwich at Whichwhich. I like turkey with sauerkraut, lettuce, spinach and pickles, but no sauces. I drove over to Limestone Quarry Park in Frisco. I saw a blue jay, a bit wet, standing atop a bare branch. I saw other birds and rabbits.

I drove home and gave Beatrice a walk. Our neighborhood appeared to be bunny central. She found them fascinating. As some bunnies were young and insufficiently respectful of Beatrice's skills, I took care to make sure she could not reach any.
She did not mind.

I watched some of the World Cup soccer game. Then I went to get a sandwich at Subway. My phone browser told me that the US pulled even with and then pulled ahead of Portugal. At home I watched Portugal score a goal in the last seconds to redeem a draw.In general, sports are best when one gets the score while doing something else.

My wife returned from getting a manicure. She asked me to fix a mouse problem on her laptop. I sorted out first why her trackpad did not work--a switch was thrown. Then I installed software from logitech which troubleshot and solved the problem. I felt suitably accomplished. Now we are watching nature documentaries about insects.
