food talk

I discovered lately that I like spinach and cucumbers on my sandwiches. I recall during my childhood how often black-eyed peas were served, and how rarely I eat them now. I really like them, and all the similar things like crowder peas. We never had edamame when I was a kid, though I grew up in a soybean-farming area. My wife and I were talking last night about the way groceries in our childhood did not have fresh fish,so that the only fresh fish was freshly-caught. I always marveled at a kid at the curious seafood things that came in sardine cans. I haven't had sardines in years,but I used to enjoy them.
