dark flower

battery died and into space

This morning I took off work to accompany my wife to the doctor's office. Nothing was wrong with her. She just had one of those minor diagnostic things in which she was not allowed to drive after the procedure. I did not have the cord to my Windows computer for some reason, and the battery ran out after a while. But I did get some work done in the waiting room.
I made it to the office by 2.30 p.m.

After "Little Dorrit" I had meant to read a series of rural UK police procedurals. However, they were not available for my e-reader. So I bought the new Peter Hamilton space opera, and am enjoying its early chapters.

The wind blew hard and long last night, making a sound like a cool wailing chorus. Today the sun came out and the day ended in a deep blue sky. I am charging my laptop now.
