hawking

I walked yesterday at lunch in Springfield Park in Rowlett. The park features an open field, a small lake, and a riparian woodland by a creek. I saw a loggerhead turtle, floating in the creek. When I came out into the open, I watched with my binoculars as a scissortail flycatcher bird went vertically aloft, and then came down. He had an insect in his mouth, which he found tasty.

I am looking at flickr pictures I took in the past to convert them into bitmap images for use in a stickfigure animation I am doing.
I like that when birds fly to catch insects, they are "hawking".
