in the kingdom of gray beauty

This morning I walked at the Heard Natural Science Center in Fairview. The day proved cloudy and gray, with sprinkles of rain. I saw lots of birds--red-tailed hawk, tufted titmouse, cardinal, mockingbird, brown creeper, a whole flock of great blue herons, red-bellied woodpecker, downy woodpecker, eastern bluebird,
several different sparrows, carolina chickadee, cormorant, mallard duck, a flock of Canadian geese, and American crow. I also saw red-eared slider turtles.

I bought a lot of reading material, and am reading about progressive rock, ubuntu, the programming language Ruby, and making music with synthesizers.
