I'm home from a whirlwind trip to Los Angeles. My wife is home from a two week business trip to Boston. Our dogs are home from a one day sojourn to the kennel. Next week will pick up the pace yet again, but tonight I'm relaxing with a song called "August".

My little mp3 player proved very dependable this trip, with some great Creative Commons music by leftkicks, henri pettersen, and a melodic techno artist called Copter.

Tonight, though, I'm glad to have our little household restored to the middle of the things.

I had never heard of classical composer Osvaldo Golijov until I read in the paper that he was going to appear today at 2 p.m. at Fort Worth's Modern Museum of Art. Yet I knew that I wanted to go as soon as I read about him.
