Safe Crossing

drove on Murphy Road to lunch yesterday. I noticed that cars were slowly turning to avoid something in the road. I slowed and saw it was a duck and her ducklings crossing. The cars gave her space to move. I believe they crossed in good shape. I was relieved.

This weekend my niece hopes to come to visit from Oklahoma. She has had to postpone two weekends because first her old job wanted her to work and then her new job wanted her to work. I hope this time the working stars align.

Monday night my cell phone reflected a message from the security company which operates our office alarm system. I called security at the building to see if there was an intruder. The helpful security guard let me know it was a new house-keeping person who somehow did not get the alarm turned off.

I anecdotally hear of more Covid cases right now. I hope we are not heading into the next surge.
