I recently got an old HP Probook computer for $ 70 on eBay. Last night I started to install Q4OS, a Debian derivative, on this laptop. While I could get the operating system onto the hard drive, somehow the boot loader failed to install. I could not figure out if it was a grub issue or a possible BIOS password. But rather than spend hours trying to figure out my error, I simply installed Ubuntu instead. The current Gnome desktop Ubuntu is easy-to-install and easy-to-use. I am still largely a start menu rather than an icon guy. On another note, I prefer AppImages.
Last Saturday I watched the Arkansas Razorbacks beat the Texas Longhorns by 40-21. It was a good game.
My Sunday WW meeting is closing. It was fairly well attended, but WW is apparently closing down workshops. I will find another, but I am sorry to see this one go.
We have not yet gotten a new pet after Beatrice's passing. I miss Beatrice even yet.
