Worked My Way to a Closed Park

Today i went into my office, and later also worked from home. In between, I drove up Highway 78 to East Fork Park, on Lavon Lake. East Fork Park has all these little pull-in bench-and-grill spaces which are not used as frequently in the Winter. I can see waterfowl and sparrows there. Today I found that an improvement project was underway, paving the entry way with new concrete. That laudable effort, though, meant I could not go to the park today.

I went and got a late lunch, and then went home. I worked a good bit during the afternoon. I took a break to take Beatrice on a walk. She takes very short walks now, but she likes to get outdoors a bit.

I took myself for a walk at the end of the afternoon in two parks. The first was our local Glendover Park. On this walk, I counted 18 species, including my first-of-the-year Brown-Headed Cowbird. On the second walk in Green Park, I counted seven species.

I did puzzles at chess.com. I got my highest score on the 3 minute Puzzle Rush at 18 puzzles solved, and increased my survival puzzle rate to 21.

Now we are home, re-watching the movie "Gandhi."
