holiday beginnings

Tuesday we brought in food from Gloria's for our office Christmas lunch. I had chicken enchiladas.  I was pleased that my newly-retired partner Randy and his wife joined us. I am very fond of the people with whom I work.

After work, my wife had a work function.  So I went to a new mini-mall place called Don Pollo. When I looked it up on the internet, I saw that a small set of places in the east bore that name. They had a menu with lots of side dishes. But this Don Pollo, while still Peruvian, was based in fries and rice as the primary side dishes.  My chuleta--a beef chop--was pretty good, but I wish there had been non-starch side dishes.

On the way home, I picked up this year's Christmas Cards. The Walgreen's photo folks had gotten the borders a bit off-kilter. A very helpful clerk re-ran them while I wanted, which was really good customer service. I thanked her for her effort. I was happy with the cards I designed.

I also took a moment to get some of my work cards out. I send out a few dozen, using small waves. I hope to have them all out by Monday.

I have a very busy day on tap for today, and, indeed, for the rest of the week.
