lake on Mars

The daily news brought word of the discovery of a lake-like body of water underground on Mars. In the 1970s, I believed that Mars exploration promised to yield evidence of protozoan-like life. But time instead brought distant planets but not nearby creatures. I now believe that marine creatures unknown to current science exist and await discovery. I amuse myself by imagining that life to be intelligent.

We watched episodes of "The Closer" tonight. My wife came back from a business trip to San Antonio. The heat broke a bit today.  Today marked our 18th over-100-degree day of the year. We usually experience only 18 in an entire Summer.
