Saturday I fell ill with a cold. It started as a sore throat. I slept a lot on Saturday. I walked a bit in Allen Station Park. The weather was lovely. I wish I had felt as good as the weather.
Sunday I mostly rested, though I did go to Weight Watchers. I watched a good old movie called Executive Suite. It starred William Holden. I saw William Holden in person once at the USA Film Festival in Dallas. Sunday evening our friend Ken from Los Angeles came to spend the evening with us. He was in town because an animated short he directed was in the USA Film Festival.
We all went to a new BBQ place in Plano. The food was good, but the place had a slight hip air I found imperfect. Still, I enjoyed my turkey and collard greens. Next time we will take Ken to Hutchings BBQ in McKinney. It is the polar opposite of the place we went.
Ken turned in early while my wife and I took Beatrice for a walk.
I got up at 3 a.m. because I had a 6 a.m. flight. Though Love Field is usually fast for check-in, TSA is apparently slower now. The line was bad, but I easily made my flight.
After my business in Austin, I ate a very good chicken panini. I caught the VonLane bus back to Dallas. I got a lot of work done on the bus.
Today I worked a goodish day, though I am still a bit under the weather. We had London Broil and broccoli for dinner.
