I went to the Salvation Army in Garland last night for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program legal cllnic. I am always struck by how polite and helpful almost all of the clients are during these meetings. In some cases, folks wait for a couple of hours to see a lawyer. In many cases, their legal needs include matters that cause stress. The clinic usually is just one step on the path to finding a volunteer to handle their matter. Yet the people with whom I meet patiently and helpfully explain the nuances of their situations, so that I can get the facts of their matter into the intake sheets and provide a little legal advice when I have advice to give.
Yesterday I ate Kix cereal and skim milk for breakfast, roasted chickcen, green beans and a roll for dinner, and buffet pizza (pepperoni and spinach alfredo) for dinner, along with raw broccoli and raw carrots. I like salad bars much better ever since I skip the lettuce and take only the finger foods. I suppose I must have a crudite' soul.
I saw my first Ruby-Crowned Kinglet of the year at Bradfield Park. Saturday the weather is supposed to be warm again. I hope to take Beatrice for a walk.
