The weather turned a bit cooler today. The bit was just a bit, though. At lunch I walked in Timbers Nature Preserve. I felt a chill in the air. I saw four Harris' Sparrows. So far this late Autumn I had seen more American Goldfinches and fewer sparrows. I was pleased to see these Harris's Sparrows.

I got a baked chicken breast at Kroger's for lunch. I did not buy a drink. That proved to be a mistake. I have a mild case of acid reflux. This condition rarely manifests itself. But today proved an exception to that rarity.

Tomorrow warmer weather returns. I addressed many of my work holiday cards. Soon I will get my personal ones in the mail.

Tonight the Alabama senate election is showing that the polarization in our country is so bad that roughly half of the voters will vote for a completely unsuitable and wrong-headed man rather than vote for a man who does not mirror those voters' ideology.
