At lunch, I walked in small Travis Farm Park in Murphy. I saw six Eastern Bluebirds, four American Crows, a couple of Starlings, two Mockingbirds and a Blue Jay. After work, I walked in Crowley Park in Richardson, where I saw lots of Field Sparrows, a Red-Tailed Hawk, six Mallards, and two American Wigeons. Last year I saw my first Field Sparrows a few weeks later in November.
I listened to an interview with an National Public Radio boss regarding the resignation of a chief editor amid sexual harassment allegations. This is one of many similar scandals that have arisen since the well-deserved fall of Harvey Weinstein. Perhaps this will mark a sea change. I hope so. It is unfortunate to hear of so many men in power who abused their power in that way.
I'm rolling along with "The Many" by Wyl Menmuir.
So far I have not signed up for Nanowrimo, but I am considering it. I have only completed a novel once, in 2002 or so. I only signed up to try one other time, but did not make the 50,000 word goal.
