I walked in One Eleven Ranch Park in Garland at lunch. I heard the sound of a Belted Kingfisher near the creek. I looked, and he landed on a tree trunk mid-creek. A moment--a couple of blurry attempts at a photo- and he was gone.
After work, I walked in Allen Station Park. Our local bluebirds are year-round residents, but I saw a little migrating flock of nine Eastern Bluebirds. They flitted from tree to fence to wires.
