I reclined in the chair as the nitrous oxide took its pleasant hold. The assistant turned out the light until the dentist arrived. I'm never entirely comfortable with the dilution of the normal mix of air with the gas. But the euphoria set in anyway. The procedure went smoothly, and I had a new filling and a fresh, non-annoying dull ache.

I stopped by Springfield Park in Rowlett on my way to the office. I heard a Red-Winged Blackbird make its rough, metallic call. I had a Clif breakfast bar for breakfast.  At lunch, I had a turkey sandwich and chips. For dinner, I ate broccoli chicken, broccoli beef and boiled shrimp, along with lots of pineapple. I walked in 111 Ranch Park, where Eastern Phoebes abounded.

Tonight I volunteered at the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program pro bono legal clinic in Garland. I enjoy meeting with folks, doing intake on their cases, and helping them navigate the system.

We just finished watching a George Gently mystery.  The rain is supposed to fall tonight.
