2/3rds Yates

I went from 1/2 through the novel I'm reading past 2/3rds. It's funny how much an interesting passage can accelerate my reading speed.

Today I followed the testimony of former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates before the United States Senate. I mostly read second-hand reporting.  I wish I had watched the replay on video. Perhaps  I will. I did note that she got her education at the University of Georgia, a solid state university.  So many "powerful" lawyers go to elite law schools rather than the state university. Her background is not entirely "populist", though. Her initial work experience was at large Atlanta law firm King & Spaulding.  It sounded as if she did the right thing, and also that it serves little purpose to beat up on civil servants for being conscientious civil servants.

breakfast: organic corn flakes and skim milk
lunch: alfredo cheese pizza, broccoli and carrots
dinner: chicken, a sweet potato, and squash
treats: baked chips and a skinny cow

Places walked: Heritage Park, Sachse, at lunch, Shawnee Park, Plano, after work
