long cold Saturday walk

I walked a bit before 11 a.m., when the temperature was a bit below freezing as I began. I had spent my early morning on a non-work important project. I had had Cheerios and skim milk for breakfast.

I walked for over two hours on the Watters Creek Trail. I saw 18 species and over fifty birds, which included 3 Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers, a Harris' Sparrow and a Hermit Thrush. I lunched on two pieces of chicken and broccoli at El Pollo Loco.

In the afternoon I walked in Green Park and took pictures of House Finches. I picked up wild birdseed, mini-dog-bones and bananas at Kroger. Tonight my wife and I had great sushi at Shiawase and then went to see the movie Rogue One. I liked the movie a lot--my wife was a bit more lukewarm. We both wondered why in the future the gender roles still tilt sharply towards men having the fighter and leader roles. I liked the lead actress a lot, though.

Tomorrow warmer air arrives--but so does the wind.
