two large bowls of soup

In the morning I kept waking up and falling asleep but finally woke up and got to work at a good hour. I had a 12:30 p.m. call, after which I went with my law partner for pollo caldo at Gloria's. In the early afternoon I drove to a city near Fort Worth to meet with a consultant in a case of mine. On the way back to my area, a lovely scattered bit of rain shower almost made up for the customary mid-cities traffic jam. I stopped on the way home by Limestone Quarry Park, where an immature Cooper's Hawk perched on a bare tree. We watched the convention and read about bears and berries.
