rain on the savannah

The rain fell while I worked, but it let up when I walked to Brooklyn's Pizza for a noon meeting. After work, I focused on a Savannah Sparrow in a little tree. The yellow facial coloration (on its "lore") looked muted but good. The rain sprinkled a bit more as I walked to my car.

Tonight we ate oven-fried cod fish and acorn squash. I looked at my chess rating on-line. I have not played in a live tournament since 2013. It's time to move from
on-line postal chess back to actual tournaments. I'm no longer as strong as I was twenty years ago--but I don't have to be.
