and armadillos

We live down the street from Kerr Elementary.Today school began. Beatrice showed she remembered how to wait at the street corner for the crosswalk guard to raise her stop sign.

At lunch, I saw two hawks on a tree in tiny Salmon Park in Sachse. I first saw them as red-shouldered hawks, but a flight photo showed them to be red-tailed hawks.

In the afternoon, it rained cats and dogs and possibly armadillos. We loved to see it rain at my office, even if a bit of hail fell.

I called my sister this evening and wished her a happy birthday. It's hard to think that my baby sister is 51.

Work is interesting and absorbing.
