ruby-throated youth

Yesterday my wife left very early to catch a flight up to Kansas City, as she has not been up to see her family in some months, and work logistics made this a possible week. I took Beatrice for her morning walk yesterday and today. I watered my wife's backyard container plants. The ruby-throated hummingbird greeted me this morning at the containers, before she flew away. My dog saw her BFF, a lhasa apso named Diva, this morning.

Today is my 56th birthday, which sounds a bit old to me, but actually works out just fine.
