wet and wild

The sleet began a bit after six p.m. I finished my drive home before things got slick. Today marks eleven days of steady precipitation. Greetings from the prairie rain forest. We may get an inch or two tonight of that intoxicating concoction called wintry mix. Tomorrow I'll slip 'n' slide to work. I liked the way the temperature fell steadily today, but only hit freezing after work.

Today I wrote a check, made a deposit, and looked at Mallards and Canada Geese in big puddles, where Eastern Bluebirds should be. But in a drought-stricken land, it's hard to complain about cold rain.
