I was glad to get this needful chore done after weeks of freezing weather. I had lunch at Tian An Mien Wok. Then I had half an afternoon to enjoy.
I drove to the Heard Natural Science Center to take a second walk. But its main parking lot was full. I decided to drive to Brockdale Park on Lake Lavon. This park has a boat launch which has been out of use for a few years due to drought.
I watched a mockingbird and two yellow-rumped warblers.
Tonight we went to the movie "Unbroken". I had thought I would not see that one, because of its POW camp and other hardship scenes. But the movie was not particularly graphic, and it was a worthwhile film. I think that Angelina Jolie did a good job directing, and that the Coen brothers' script was well done. The world's saga of man's inhumanity to man has lots of chapters and a cast of billions. After the movie we stopped to have Subway sandwiches and then ate delicious frozen yogurt. Tomorrow warm weather is predicted again.
