At lunch, I walked in Breckinridge Park. After days of chilly, windy, moist weather, it felt good to feel warmth and sunshine. I took pictures of a Dark-eyed Junco. Juncos somehow symbolize Christmas to me--slate-colored sparrows from Canada that Winter here.
I looked across the way and saw a mated pair of American Kestrels. They perched, alert, on a branch, surveying all they saw. I did not get a great image of them, but perhaps this will convey the breathtaking idea of it all:

After work, I drove to Vision Works and picked up my new glasses. I am very happy with the look of both pairs. More importantly, my vision is much sharper with them on. I drove to Dickey's BBQ and had chicken, as my wife had suggested we each fend for ourselves so that she could shop. Then I stopped by Radio Shack to get blank CDs, blank DVDs, a gift item, and a cool snowball microphone on sale.
I will work tomorrow and part of Wednesday.I want to get a lot done this week.
