recovery and scandal

Today the news announced that the two Dallas-area nurses, Nina Pham and Amber Vinson, recovered from Ebola. It's a rare bit of good news in the recent saga of this disease. Nina's dog, Bentley, also appears near the all-clear point. The news is also full of the first patient in New York, and the cycle continues.

My Facebook feed featured a cryptic message from the small town paper of the town in which I grew up, saying that an "incident report" was being filed against a mayoral candidate. Small town politics in the age of social media provides all the drama and none of the substance of old-time politics.
