hackberry and robin

This morning I walked in Erwin Park in McKinney. This park features lots of mountain bicycle pathways. The mountain bicycle riders courteously advised of their imminent approaches. Though I heard songs of birds of many species, my visual joys focused on
numerous hackberry emperor butterflies.

This afternoon I walked in Bethany Lakes Park in Allen. I walked in its small wooded area, where I saw a flock of robins.

In between, I attended Weight Watchers (weight loss: 6/10ths of a pound), ate at Tian An Mien Wok & Grill (chicken with broccoli) and listened to a Dallas Cowboys game finale on the radio (successful comeback for a win). I also bought a book at Half-Priced Books about a fellow who did a birding year in all of Texas.

I write this as I watch Miss Marple on PBS.
