carpet at last

We got good news in the past day or two. The carpet my wife originally chose, but which appeared unavailable, became available again. Another family ordered it and then changed its mind, so that what was formerly drought is now a flash flood.

The installers come in on Monday to install the carpet. Beatrice will go visit the pet lodge. With any luck at all, our home will be near normal in another week or so, after this and that minor finish-up things are done. I will be glad when we are back in session here, like the start of school, only it's the restart of home.

Tomorrow I will walk Beatrice while it is still cool. My wife and I plan to see a movie, and to have dinner at a nice Indian restaurant.
