I stopped by Trinity Trail (Brockdale Trailhead) on my way from work. I was looking at this eastern bluebird on a branch, when a northern mockingbird arrived.


I had a premonition how this would turn out, and, sure enough, a kerfluffle erupted:


I do not know what became of the northern mockingbird, but I did see a male bluebird
on a nearby fence:


I saw him head into the nearby bluebird box. Nobody in that bluebird family went hungry.
